Letās get to it š
āI donāt have a website.ā VZY has made it easy for you š
So, I tried out one of these AI website builders. This one is called VZY and it is Nigerian built. The product promises to help you build websites 10x faster with AI. Now, for someone who has never built a website before š-or does a Google site count?- I figured it was worth the try to see what the experience for a newbie would be like.
The page is pretty straightforward, and the sign-up was easy enough since I always sign up/in with Google. It asks for pretty basic information; what category does your business fall into, and what does it do? This second part is supposed to be a description. I put on my vivid imagination cap and typed the description for my cosmetics business: āWe sell customisable makeup products to young, fun and sentimental Africans. They can customise palettes, and kits, as well as add names and messages to the packaging.āĀ
I hit send and allowed VZY to cook.
My first try took quite a while until I realised the site was down. It said it was ā boosting speed for visitorsā, āmaking it beautiful for all devicesā, ācollecting emailsā, ācomposing positive feedbackā ācreating a unique brand storyā etc.. So it's clear these are some of the features it promises to build into your spanking new AI site⦠The second time around, when the site was working again, it took about 5 minutes or less (I forgot to time exactly š)
What was the result?
Iām a CEO guysss š„ŗcuties.vzy.io. This is what VZY produced, untouched by me.
You can check out the features available here for all plans and the pricing attached.
VZY runs on a base template, uses images from Unsplash and gets copy from OpenAIās GPT. Its founder, Evans Akanno says the future of the product is being able to generate blog posts, create content and products, as well as booking, email and SMS integration.
FYI, you can choose more themes when the site is generated.
š” Take VZY for a spin and share your creation with us by replying to this letter or in our IG DMs @gumiandcompany so we can feature it in the next letter!

Figma is my most used tool as a designer, it's actually industry standard. There are others like Sketch, Adobe XD, Invision but the most widely used is Figma. This is also because it's free and has a very low learning curve.
What got you started in creating content related to technology and products?
People complain a lot about how thereās so much non-educative content and how TikTok is showing us what will make us duller and less productive and I always asked what is the ratio of content creators that are making content that is educative and just pure cruise. This is because TikTok will not import educational content from another country and show us what people in our immediate environment create. So I took it upon myself to start tech info-educative content.
